Accreditation

We regularly advise clients in matters involving the accreditation of educational and healthcare institutions. Our attorneys have decades of experience representing accreditation agencies as well as educational institutions on issues of accreditation. We have advised the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges in an outside general counsel role for decades. And in our role advising educational institutions, we are fluent in issues of due process, hearing code formation, antitrust, and federal and state educational regulation.

This hyper specialized area of law has its own set of federal rules and regulations that we understand. Accreditation issues in the educational context are rarely litigated, and we have had the unique experience of litigating this area in both federal and state courts, including through trial. In short, we have a deep understanding of this in an esoteric area of law.
