Kessenick Gamma was founded in 2007 by three healthcare attorneys formerly with a large San Francisco law firm. The goal was to attract the highest quality attorneys to provide outstanding legal services in a personalized, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Kessenick Gamma has grown to over ten attorneys, granting us the capacity to work on nearly any size matter, while still retaining a lean staffing model.
We provide corporate, litigation, regulatory, and transactional legal representation and advice to individual and corporate clients. Our lawyers have extensive expertise on all aspects of law affecting healthcare providers, including physician group formation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, due process, fraud and abuse (including the False Claims Act), the corporate practice of medicine, federal and state healthcare regulation, reimbursement, and peer review. Outside of the area of healthcare, our firm has extensive experience with accreditation.
The firm also represents both healthcare and non-healthcare clients in wide variety of litigation and internal investigations, including antitrust defense, commercial litigation and arbitration, shareholder derivative actions, and False Claims Act matters.

Kessenick Gamma’s practice today includes representing technology companies and Fortune 500 companies. But we have not lost sight of our initial focus on representing healthcare providers. The firm continues to represent hundreds of individual providers and medical groups. We are also counsel to many physician advocacy organizations, including the California Medical Association, the California Society of Anesthesiologists, the California Academy of Family Physicians, and the California Radiological Association.
