Tienne has spent her career as a healthcare lawyer in private practice and as in-house counsel at a multi-hospital system, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, and a pharmaceutical distribution and healthcare services company ranked in the Fortune 10.
Tienne helps clients navigate a wide range of complex healthcare regulatory matters, including the healthcare fraud and abuse laws (e.g., False Claims Act, Antikickback Statute, Physician Self-Referral Law, etc.). Her decades of experience working closely with senior executives in all types of healthcare businesses allows her to provide her clients with concise and practical legal advice and a deep understanding of the industry from a business perspective.
She has drafted and negotiated healthcare contracts of all kinds, including service, supply, distribution, licensing, joint venture, reimbursement, data, marketing, and other commercial agreements. She also advises companies of all sizes on the healthcare regulatory aspects of their M&A transactions.
Tienne earned her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Law, in 1995 and she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University in 1992.
Tienne is an avid student of the drum kit and plays keyboards with the Storytime Band in Berkeley. She and her husband Steve are empty nesters and she has a thing for orange tabby cats.
